Custom Tallow and Lard Rendering
We believe in honoring the whole animal. Our custom tallow and lard rendering service helps producers capture more value from every harvest by transforming high-quality fat into a clean, stable, and highly versatile finished product, rendered from your own animals with care, precision, and transparency.
Whether your end goal is culinary use, value‑added products, or whole‑carcass stewardship, tallow and lard are time‑tested solutions making a well‑deserved return.
Why Render Tallow & Lard?
Rendering fat is one of the oldest and most effective ways to maximize carcass utilization. Instead of tossing fat and taking the weight as a loss, rendering converts it into a functional, long‑lasting product with broad applications, and health benefits.
Benefits include:
- Improved whole‑carcass value
- Additional revenue or product diversification opportunities
- A clean, traditional cooking fat with excellent heat stability
- A versatile base for skincare, soaps, and homestead goods
For producers committed to stewardship and efficiency, tallow and lard simply make sense.
Our Rendering Process
We use a slow, traditional rendering method designed to preserve purity, performance, and consistency:
- Raw fat is trimmed and cleaned prior to rendering
- Fat is gently rendered at low heat over an extended period in a large, jacketed steam kettle to prevent scorching
- Liquid tallow or lard is fine‑filtered to remove impurities
- Product is poured hot into glass pint jars for freshness, shelf stability, and food safety
- Jars are cooled quickly, labeled, and prepared for pickup
The result is a neutral, clean, high‑quality finished product suitable for a wide range of uses.
